Clinical Services

Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis are available on-site and integrated throughout our students’ school day. We have optimized integrated treatment by scheduling consistent and frequent team meetings to have all therapists and teachers working in unison, helping our students to reach their goals faster.  Collaboration between clinic and school teams is an integral part of our program and having all therapies on-site allows families to receive all needed services in one location and during a typical school day schedule.

Speech Therapy

The Speech Therapy team at the William Mosing Center believes that every person deserves to have their voice heard and it is our mission to help them find the best way to express themselves. Here at William’s, we work with individuals with a variety of needs including but not limited to Speech Disorders (articulation, phonology, apraxia, etc), Language Disorders (receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language), and other disorders. Using a collaborative approach, a program is created to help find the most effective and functional mode(s) of communication unique to that individual. We work closely with parents, teachers, and other therapists (ABA, OT, etc) to provide consistency and promote the carryover of skills to all aspects of the individual's life. Being able to communicate independently is the foundation to positive social, emotional, and academic growth and gives our clients the chance to be autonomous, independent members of their community.

Occupational Therapy

The work, or, “occupation”, of childhood is to play, become independent in self-care tasks, and to succeed in school and community. Occupational therapists can evaluate and provide treatment to help children with conditions that prevent them from participating in these occupations at a level similar to other children their age. Occupational therapists do this by working on fine motor skills, visual motor skills, appropriate responses to sensory information, and independence in self-care activities.

Occupational therapists at The William Mosing Center are able to work closely with teachers and staff at William’s School to facilitate the carryover of skills to the educational environment, and to integrate therapeutic strategies into our students’ school day.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

At The William Mosing Center we provide ABA Therapy based on the science of Applied Behavioral Analysis with a focus on compassion, communication, and self-advocacy. Therapy is implemented from a nurturing, whole-child, and practical lens.  Programs emphasize the necessary social and emotional skills that increase success in a variety of environments, including community and educational settings. Replacement skills are taught to give individuals alternative, safe methods to meet their needs.  A collaborative approach is taken to ensure that the family and related therapists are involved in creating a unique program.
